In a surprise virtual live appearance, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry gave a rare preview of the interior of their Montecito, California home. A sublime villa that the couple acquired for 10 million euros in June 2020, shortly after their arrival in the United States, following their withdrawal from the British royal family. While participating in a poetry competition called Get Lit via the Zoom application, the couple was seen sitting in front of a large stone fireplace.
And the most curious were able to catch a glimpse of a very symbolic work of art behind them: a black and white grizzly bear embracing the state of California. Was the painting chosen by Los Angeles-born Meghan Markle to show her love for her home state, or was it Prince Harry who insisted on acquiring the painting and showing how grateful he was for the new home he had settled in with his little family? Mystery.
A new life away from the Firm
