Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, were in Germany this Tuesday, September 6. During a speech, the son of Prince Charles had a tender attention to the Germans.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are currently traveling in Europe. After a discreet arrival on board a commercial flight in the United Kingdom on Saturday, September 3, the couple went to Düsseldorf, Germany, this Tuesday, September 6, for the launch of the countdown to the Invictus Games. This international sports competition, reserved for war veterans, created by the Duke of Sussex, will take place in a year. Archie and Lilibet’s father gave a speech that he began with a few words in German, as reported by L’Express.

“That’s pretty much where it ends,” the Duke of Sussex continued humorously to the applause of the Germans. “I can’t wait to hear the roar of the crowd, feel the adrenaline of the competition and join in the laughter, and even the tears, happy ones of course, as we witness lives changing before our eyes,” Prince Harry also said. He also asked the Germans to be present to encourage the athletes during this competition: “In our most vulnerable moments, encouragement is essential. So I ask that we all do our part to enable these incredible military men and women to be brave and true to themselves.” He then joked about the beer in Düsseldorf, asking the audience in attendance if it was better than the beer in Cologne.

Will the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visit the Royal family?

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will then return to England, where they are scheduled to attend the WellChild Awards ceremony in London on Thursday, September 8. A stay during which it is unlikely that the couple will visit Prince William and Kate Middleton. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex should not, either, talk with the Queen because the latter is currently in Balmoral in Scotland.
