When Meghan Markle and Prince Harry left England for California a year ago, they also moved away from the royal family. However, it seems that Archie’s mother is still secretly in contact with one of her husband’s cousins.
Meghan Markle has apparently not cut all ties with all members of the royal family. If the former actress of Suits spent happy days with her husband Prince Harry in California, she still keeps a link with England. Indeed, the Duchess of Sussex would be secretly in contact with a member of the royal family, to whom she remained very close.
This person is none other than…Princess Eugenie. Sarah Ferguson’s daughter and her husband Jack Brooksbank were for a long time neighbors of the Sussex family when they were still living in London. The two couples are therefore rather close. Eugenie and Jack have even settled in Frogmore Cottage, the former home of Meghan and Harry, since the latter’s departure.
While Archie’s mother is pregnant for the second time, Eugenie has just welcomed her first child on February 9th. A royal expert told People magazine that the two women had even been in contact throughout their pregnancy and were aware of each other’s due dates.
“These times bring families closer together,” he said, adding, “What’s beautiful is that Eugenie has had her baby and Meghan and Harry are going to have theirs. They are very close but they still decide to go their own way”.
Prince Harry very close to his cousin
The authors of the book Finding Freedom, Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, had already mentioned the complicit links Harry and his cousin Eugenie have always had. “Of all the Queen’s grandchildren, Harry and Eugenie have one of the most natural connections. Like Harry, Eugenie is loyal, honest and very funny,” he said, adding that the two “spent many evenings in London.
A true confidant, Eugenie was one of the first to know about the romance between Prince Harry and Meghan. While many members of the family have turned their backs on Sussex, the couple can fortunately still count on their former neighbors to give them some support.
