Before closing the Invictus Games in Germany on 16 September, Meghan Markle treated herself to a discreet outing. As Hello! revealed, Prince Harry’s wife went to a women’s refuge in Düsseldorf.

A Duchess who never forgets her commitments. Present in Germany to celebrate the Invictus Games alongside Prince Harry, Meghan Markle also took the time to make more discreet outings. During her trip, for example, Archie and Lilibet’s mother was spotted at TrebeCafé, a centre for young women and girls in Düsseldorf. “It serves as a refuge for girls and young women living on the streets, offering them showers, clean clothes, a brief respite to sleep, meals and, above all, advice and support”, reported our Hello! colleagues on Tuesday 18 September. According to several photos posted on social networks, the Duchess of Sussex opted for a chic but casual outfit, wearing a grey cable-knit jumper and high-waisted pleated trousers from Toteme.

This was not the only trip Meghan Markle made as part of the Invictus Games. A few hours before the event’s closing ceremony, Prince Harry’s wife took part in an impromptu meeting with a group of children, The Daily Express reported on Sunday 17 September. More specifically, Kate Middleton’s sister-in-law organised a private reading session. The heroine of the story told by Meghan Markle herself was Rosie Revere, an innovative engineer. Her trials and tribulations are recounted in a book written by Andrea Beaty. According to our report, the former Suits actress read the story to a small group of hand-picked children. They listened attentively, comfortably seated on footstools.

Meghan Markle: discover the staggering cost of her outfits at the Invictus Games

As soon as she arrived at the Invictus Games, Meghan Markle dazzled the gallery in a pretty black pleated Banana Republic dress. Far from stopping there, the 42-year-old fashionista followed up with a myriad of cutting-edge looks: ecru Bermuda shorts, an elegant all-black look, combishorts, a strapless dress… Archie and Lilibet’s mum stole the show from her husband, revealing some great style lessons in the space of a few days. But at what price? The Daily Mail has answered this question, and the hefty sum is likely to make the British gnash their teeth…

According to our journalists, the clothes and jewellery worn by Meghan Markle throughout the Invictus Games cost no less than £200,000 (around €232,145), twice as much as her shopping budget for 2022! It has to be said that the woman who did her own make-up and hair throughout the event has never hidden her passion for designer pieces. According to the website UFOnomore, the Duchess of Sussex spent €106,938.29 on new clothes and accessories last year.
