Meghan Markle What appealed to her most about Harry

In the biography of the Sussex couple entitled Finding Freedom, the authors discuss what made Meghan Markle fall for Prince Harry. A first date that did not leave the two bachelors indifferent.

In July 2016, Meghan Markle is in London to support her friend Serena William at the Wimbledon tournament. Knowing the young woman present on English soil, Prince Harry asked their mutual friend Markus Anderson, urging him to organize a dinner at his very private club in Soho House.

The friend does so and gathers no more than a dozen guests, including the actress from Suits and the grandson of Queen Elizabeth II. The ideal situation for a rapprochement. In these places, the magic happens.

Just after their meeting, Prince Harry wastes no time and sends a text message to Meghan Markle, who was barely back in her hotel room, according to a source who confided in the biography Finding Freedom devoted to the couple from Sussex, which will be released on August 11th, and of which the Daily Mail reveals extracts.

“His messages were often short and full of emojis, especially the ghost emoji, which he often used instead of a smiley face,” the book says. Why a little ghost? Mystery. One thing’s for sure, Meghan Markle was seduced by their early exchanges. She would have found her suitor “funny and adorable.”

A mutual crush

Prince Harry wanted the American actress “to know that he was very interested” and did not hide his enthusiasm, say authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand.

The biography also states that Prince Harry was the first to say “I love you” to his beloved, with his friends revealing that the couple had been “immediately obsessed” with each other.

So many touching and innocent revelations that bring to light the love at first sight and the beautiful fairy tale lived by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in their early days. But will these little private confidences be enough to make the English forget their shattering departure from the British crown?
