Meghan Markle will work with former First Lady Michelle Obama to champion a cause that is close to her heart.

Meghan Markle is very committed. The Duchess of Sussex will participate in a three-day virtual event to combat sexism and promote gender equality. Prince Harry’s wife will join Michelle Obama and actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas to carry this beautiful message. Meghan Markle, 38, will be one of the guest speakers at the Girl Up Global Leadership Summit, July 13-15, as reported by Hello Magazine.

Before marrying Prince Harry, the former star of the Suits series had long been an advocate for women’s rights and gender equality. In 2015, she gave a speech at the UN Women’s Conference where – the young woman who was used to revealing details of her childhood – remembered writing to a brand at the age of 11 about a sexist advertisement.

Michelle Obama’s Advice to Meghan Markle

Michelle Obama will also unveil a strong message while Priyanka Chopra Jonas will participate in a question-and-answer session. This is not the first time Meghan Markle has been in contact with these two women. She was advised by the former First Lady to “take her time” to carry out her projects effectively. Meghan also interviewed Michelle Obama for the British edition of Vogue last September. In addition, Priyanka Chopra Jonas was one of the guests at Harry and Meghan’s wedding in May 2018. Quite a programme!
