Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released a rare photo prior to the airing of their special episode of Time100 Talks. In this black and white shot, a very special detail caught the attention of the couple’s fans.
For once, the spirit of Lady Di accompanies the Sussex. After making it into Time’s prestigious list of Time’s 100 most influential people, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will take part in a very special show. On October 20th, Archie’s parents will host the Time100 Talks event in which leaders from all walks of life will come together to highlight solutions and encourage action on the theme of “Building a Better World”.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, both TIME100 alumni, are among the most influential voices in the world,” said Dan Macsai, Time’s editor and TIME100 editorial director. Prior to this much-anticipated speaking engagement, they agreed to pose for a rare shot. In this black and white photo, the Sussex are accomplices, in love, Prince Harry looks at the lens while the Duchess wears a broad smile. And, as is often the case, the details are of particular importance.
For in addition to immortalizing the complicity that unites them, Archie’s parents have paid another tribute to Princess Diana. As Town & Country reports, Meghan Markle seems to be wearing an accessory that once belonged to Lady Di.
On the wrist of the duchess? Cartier’s gold Tank watch that the Princess of Hearts has worn at several events, including a visit to the Hindu temple Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in London and a commitment to the British Lung Foundation in 1997.
Meghan Markle has never hidden her admiration for this elegant jewel. Even before joining the royal family, the Duchess of Sussex had even given herself a two-tone version of the Tank, which sold for more than 23,000 euros.
“I have always coveted the Cartier French Tank watch,” the actress said in the columns of Hello. When I found out that a third season of Suits had been confirmed – something very important for me at the time – I went crazy. And one of the things I did was buy the two-tone version of this jewel.”

The duchess even had this watch personalized. “I had it engraved on the back, To MM From MM, and I intend to give it to my daughter one day,” said Meghan Markle. That’s what makes the pieces special, the connection you have with them.
” While it’s hard to know if the watch is indeed the two-tone version on this new portrait, it’s likely that she wanted to pay tribute to Prince Harry’s mother in this way. Freed from her royal duties since last March, Meghan Markle continues to honor the memory of the Princess of Hearts through her accessories.
Notably during the Fortune Virtual Summit dedicated to powerful women, during which she wore an all-gold watch that would have belonged to Lady Di. In the past, the Duchess of Sussex honored the late Princess several times by wearing her butterfly earrings, one of her gold bracelets or an aquamarine ring.
