Almost a year after leaving the ranks of the British Royal Family, Meghan Markle took her first steps as a businesswoman. On Monday, December 14, the Duchess made her first private investment.

Meghan Markle’s new life has begun. A few months after her departure from the British Royal Family, the Duchess of Sussex has finally taken the plunge. Not in film or television, as the former actress had long wished, but as a businesswoman. On Monday, December 14, Archie’s mother made her debut as a private investor.

And for her new life, she has chosen a symbolic company: the Clevr Blends wellness company, run by women. “She injected money from this company,” confided one of her spokespersons to People. On its website, this company started as a “funky pop-up coffee bar” in Santa Barbara. “We drove up and down the California coast, mixing lattes and mushroom coffees in the back of a van. It was awesome,” say its creators. Our drinks made people feel amazing, but they were hard to make at home.”

“We made it our mission to create the most delicious and nutritious instant latte on the planet. After a year of formulation and careful sourcing of ingredients later, our SuperLattes were born,” they still rejoice. Led by entrepreneur Hannah Mendoza, the company also donates one percent of its monthly profits to organizations fighting for food justice in the United States.

All of its shipping materials are also 100% post-consumer recycled and 100% recyclable. These are themes that are particularly dear to Meghan Markle’s heart. “This investment supports a passionate entrepreneur who places a priority on building community alongside her business,” wrote the Duchess of Sussex in a statement. I am proud to invest in Hannah’s commitment to sourcing ethical ingredients and creating a product that I personally love and that takes a holistic approach to wellness”.

An Ethical and Responsible Company

“I believe in her and I believe in her company,” says Meghan Markle, a young businesswoman. And if this company is still young, it has already seduced exceptional palaces. Notably that of Oprah Winfrey, a great friend of Prince Harry’s wife, who advertised the drink on her Instagram account. Well-being has long been a key interest of Meghan Markle.

On her former blog, she regularly published articles on the positive mental and physical benefits of practicing healthy daily habits. Delighted to have the Duchess of Sussex join her company, Hannah Mendoza explained, “Entrepreneurs need financing, but they also need advisors who care deeply about what they build. I am grateful to have found both in the Duchess of Sussex and I could not imagine a more progressive partnership.
