Lady Louise Windsor is about to make an unprecedented choice next month. On the eve of her 18th birthday, the young heiress will be able to accept or reject her title of princess. A decision that Meghan Markle and Harry are watching closely, assures the Express.co.uk, this Monday, October 11, 2021…

The Sussexes are closely following this decision. At the dawn of his 18 years, Lady Louise Windsor will have to decide, on November 8. Heiress, raised as a citizen since her early childhood, the daughter of Edward of Sussex will have to accept or refuse her title of princess, commonly called HRH. A decision scrutinized by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry: “The Sussexes raise their children as private citizens,” reveal our confreres of the Express.co.uk, this Monday 11 October 2021.

“But Archie, two, and Lilibet will be entitled to their royal titles when their grandfather, Prince Charles, ascends the throne,” confides the British tabloid. In the future, the little Lilibet Diana Mountbatten Windsor may be faced with the same Cornelian choice. A decision that she will make alone when she comes of age, without the influence of her parents, Duke and Duchess of Sussex, retired from the royal family

Lady Louise Windsor could refuse her HRH title

Eldest daughter of Prince Edward, Lady Louise Windsor is notably the youngest granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II: “Louise and her younger brother, James, Viscount Severn, were born with HRH titles but have not used them until now,” add our confreres. In an interview with the Sunday Times Magazine, his mother Sophie Rhys-Jones confided on her decision to raise her children without HRH titles: “Sophie expressed the wish that her children, who are the Queen’s grandchildren, have a ‘normal’ upbringing,” adds the British tabloid.

“On weekends, we walk a lot of dogs and stay with friends. I guess not everyone’s grandparents live in a castle, but where you go is not the important part, nor who they are, “confided the Countess of Wessex. However, the favorite granddaughter of the late Prince Philip could simply refuse his titles. According to her mother it is even “very unlikely”, that she uses them.
