On the first anniversary of the Megxit, and the departure of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to the United States, the Daily Express wanted to find out from its readers how the couple was now perceived by readers. And the result should not exactly delight little Archie’s parents. Indeed, the poll revealed that the British people felt that Prince Harry would one day return to the UK – but without Meghan.
To the question “Do you think Harry and Meghan will ever want to return to the Royal Family”, half of the 25,781 voters replied “Only Harry will return”. Invited to comment on their answers, readers did not hesitate to express their anger towards the couple. Several readers felt that the couple were doomed to divorce.
“I don’t see their marriage lasting and Harry would most likely return to the royal bosom,” said one voter. Another suggested that it would be Meghan Markle who would decide to leave the Prince. “Harry will want to come back when Meghan divorces,” he said.

A sad statement for the exiled couple in the United States. But far from listening to rumours, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry continue to devote themselves to the causes that are close to their hearts and swarm with projects, far from the negative waves emanating from England. Big contracts have been signed with Spotify and Netflix. After the loss of a baby last summer, the couple may also try again to expand the family. Proof, if any, that divorce is clearly not on the agenda.
