Meghan Markle: A “traumatic” and “uncomfortable” trial in the offing

This fall, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will face a lawsuit against the Associated NewsPapers group. A dreaded moment, especially if Thomas Markle were to testify.

The year 2021 promises to be full of adventures for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. In addition to their reunion with the royal family, notably for the 95th birthday of Queen Elizabeth II in April, a justice chapter awaits them at the end of the year.

Their lawsuit against Associated NewsPapers, the group that publishes the Daily Mail, is scheduled for the fall, and if their lawyers don’t get what they want, it could all come down to public play.

According to a royal source quoted by the Sunday Times, a trial in which Meghan could find herself facing her father, Thomas Markle, whom she no longer speaks to, “would be traumatic for Meghan and Harry” and also “deeply uncomfortable.

Especially if former members of their staff became involved in these stories. The entire royal family would be exposed. The Sussex want to avoid this at all costs. Their relations with the Cambridge camp, Prince Charles and the Queen are not at all good. There is no need to add to it.

The royal family is also trembling as they await the trial

As a reminder, Meghan Markle accuses the Daily Mail of invading her privacy by revealing a letter written to her father only two months after her marriage to Prince Harry.

Her lawyers soon hope to argue to Judge Warby, in charge of the case, that he does not need to hear other witnesses to decide whether Meghan’s rights have been violated or not. Otherwise, a public trial would once again bring the opprobrium of British royalty into disrepute.
