Meghan Markle and Prince Harry embark on a very ambitious project. After juicy deals with Netflix and Spotify, the Sussex couple are more than ever in the spotlight.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are full of projects. In the new year 2021, the Sussex couple intend to strike again. According to reports, the couple wants to set up a production company.
The programme includes films (comedies, dramas and thrillers), but also series and documentaries. The couple has filed documents with the UK Intellectual Property Office for the protection of the Archewell Productions trademark.
This is a very ambitious new project for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who have no intention of being forgotten, after their much-discredited departure from the UK in the midst of the pandemic and their withdrawal from the royal family.
A big announcement that comes shortly after the revelation last September of a very juicy contract signed with Netflix for 150 million dollars. But that’s not all.
Between professional and private projects
On December 15, the couple also made a name for themselves by launching into podcasts, with a great deal of communication. The Spotify platform announced “an exclusive multi-year partnership with Archewell Studio”, a company created by the Sussex couple. The stated objective is to “offer programming that uplifts and entertains audiences around the world”.
The Sussex couple have a busy professional schedule for the coming months. On the private side, the Duke and Duchess are also making no secret of their desire to expand their family, following the birth of little Archie in May 2019.
“They’re doing everything they can,” said royal expert Katie Nicholl, while Meghan Markle revealed she suffered a miscarriage last July. The year 2021 is off to a flying start.
