Harry and Meghan Markle’s Potential “Private Agreement” with King Charles III for a Return to Royal Premises

In a shocking turn of events, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been ousted from their residence at Frogmore Cottage by Charles III. However, if the Sussexes were to set foot on English soil again, negotiations could unfold with the monarch…

The headlines reverberated across the United Kingdom last March, when news broke of Charles III’s decision to evict Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from their Frogmore Cottage abode. The couple, now residing in a lavish villa in the United States, were left with no choice but to pack their belongings.

The new monarch had made it a priority to cleanse the royal residences, and the publication of his youngest son’s memoirs may have accelerated the situation. As the deadline loomed, the exiles of Montecito bid their final farewell to Frogmore Cottage, with Prince Harry making one last visit during his recent trips to London, while their remaining personal effects were shipped across the Atlantic to California.

Now, a pressing question arises: Where will Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, find accommodation upon their return to English soil? Several options lie before them. The Sussexes could opt for a hotel stay, perhaps reserving a room in the upscale Soho House, a favored spot for the couple. Alternatively, they could seek refuge with a Windsor family member with whom they maintain a cordial relationship, such as Prince Eugenie. Lastly, they may secure an apartment in Buckingham Palace or another royal residence, but only with the permission of Charles III. “It is believed that they would need to reach a private agreement with the king if they desire to reclaim their place within the royal premises,” revealed sources cited by the Daily Mail.

As of now, the Sussexes do not appear to have immediate plans for a UK return. Although Prince Harry has made brief visits recently, he has done so without his wife or their two children. Meghan Markle, on the other hand, seems to have already moved on. The Duke of Sussex was notably absent from the guest list for his father’s coronation on May 6, and he did not receive an invitation to the Trooping the Color military parade, which celebrates the monarch’s birthday on June 17. These omissions serve as a poignant reminder that relations between the crown’s maverick and the Windsor family have deteriorated further.

Reports indicate that Prince Harry has not engaged in conversations with his brother, Prince William, or his father, Charles III, for months. Fearing that their private exchanges may be exposed in yet another book or tabloid exposé, the monarch and his eldest son have chosen to distance themselves from the Duke of Sussex. Consequently, it remains uncertain whether Prince Harry would even consider seeking royal accommodations during a potential visit to London, seemingly preferring not to rely on the goodwill of the king.
