According to the English media, Queen Elizabeth II would be shocked by the way Prince Harry and Meghan Markle dare to talk about politics publicly, to incite Americans to vote in the next presidential elections.

On Tuesday, November 3, 2020 the American presidential elections will take place. On September 23rd, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were filmed by The Times and used the opportunity to encourage US citizens to vote.

This is quite a challenge, given that members of the British royal family are not supposed to take any party in politics and especially not to express themselves publicly on the subject.

It would seem that at Buckingham Palace, the messages delivered by the former Duke and Duchess of Sussex are not very well received. Queen Elizabeth II, in particular, would take a very negative view of the way the couple dodged royal protocol.

According to the information of the English newspaper Daily Express, unveiled on September 26, the members of the British royalty would be “disturbed” by the behavior of the parents of little Archie. Richard Mineards, an expert on the royal family who lives in Santa Barbara, explains to our colleagues that the political commitment of the latter would be criticized, even if they “did not mention the president in their comments”.

As a reminder, members of the English royalty “should not talk about political activities” of any kind, let alone “criticize” them.

A couple who no longer work for the British nation

“Residents of Buckingham Palace were asked to comment on their perceptions of the situation. They replied that they would not comment on non-working members of the royal family,” said Mineards. This proves that there is indeed a rift between Meghan Markle, her husband and other members of the English Royal Family.

As a reminder, the former actress had notably declared face to camera, for the American population: “Our values are put into action and our voices are heard. Your voice reminds you that you matter (…) and you deserve to be heard”.
