This Saturday, May 8, the Vax Life concert was broadcasted on the American channels. Prince Harry, president of this charity event, went on stage and opened his heart for the good cause.

Prince Harry is a man committed to many causes. This Saturday, May 8, the charity concert Vax Life, organized by the NGO Global Citizen and recorded a week earlier at the So-Fi stadium in Los Angeles, was broadcast on many American channels. This event, presented by the singer Selena Gomez and chaired by the Sussexes, advocates for an equitable distribution of the vaccine against the coronavirus.

If the parents of little Archie were both expected at this special evening, only Prince Harry made the trip. Meghan Markle would have withdrawn at the last minute because of her pregnancy. Between two performances of Jennifer Lopez or the Foo Fighters, the youngest son of Lady Diana went on stage to speak. The Duke of Sussex decided to open his heart for a good cause and his message was overwhelming.

“When someone suffers, everyone suffers” is certainly the phrase that all viewers will remember. During the charity concert, Prince Harry had strong words to raise awareness of social differences in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic to Americans, as well as the rest of the world. “None of us should be comfortable thinking that we can be okay while so many others are suffering,” Prince Harry began before continuing, “We need to look beyond ourselves, with empathy and compassion for those we know and those we don’t.” Behind the scenes, the Duke of Sussex also recorded a video in which he warned against the “politicization” of anti-Covid-19 vaccines.

A noticeable babybump

Despite being president, Meghan Markle was unable to attend the Vax Life concert, raising concerns about her health, as she is expecting her second child. Nevertheless, she insisted on recording a video message, which was broadcast at the end of the event. It was the first public appearance of Archie’s mother since the explosive interview she and her husband gave to Oprah Winfrey last March.

The former Suits actress delivered a committed message to fight against the eviction of women. While fondly caressing her visible baby bump, Prince Harry’s wife also spoke about her pregnancy: “My husband and I are thrilled to be welcoming a daughter soon. It’s a feeling of joy that we share with millions of other families around the world,” before moving on, “When we think of her, we think of all the young women and girls around the world who need to have the ability and support to carry us forward.” Their baby girl is due in a few weeks.
