Interviewed by People Magazine, on the occasion of the re-release of his book, a British journalist spoke about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s withdrawal from the royal family, saying they have no regrets whatsoever.

Throughout the pages, we learn that sources close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said that the couple does not regret “the decisions they have taken. This includes their withdrawal from the British royal family.
Despite all the controversies generated by their behavior since their independence, by their cash interview, by their new projects and commitments, the lovers would have “no regrets” to have left the English royalty, to settle in California and this, even if “these last years” have “been difficult”. Sure of their choices, the parents of Archie and Lilibet Diana have also marked the history of the monarchy, whether they like it or not. “What began as a fairy tale romance became a story that reinvented the genre: an independent, self-made woman playing an equal role alongside her knight,” the book in question reads.
A son who gave them energy
In any case, journalist and writer Omid Scobie opined to People Magazine that William’s brother is looking to bury the hatchet with the royal family, but that he hasn’t necessarily received only outstretched hands. “I think he’s quite ready to take on his role in all of this, but I’ve been told that he’s also waiting to see a little bit of that from the other side – and so far there hasn’t been any,” he explained, noting that little Archie has been a big help to the couple in getting through the ordeal. The little one “gave them the energy to stand up for what was right for them, no matter what the consequences,” he added.
