According to tradition, every English bride must wear something new, old, borrowed and blue on their wedding day.

In Kate Middleton’s wedding style, the earrings her parents gave her were new; the Irish lace on the neckline of her dress represented the old man. A piece of blue ribbon had been sewn into the lining of her dress. As for the borrowed one, just like Meghan Markle, it is a tiara that Queen Elizabeth II had lent her.
