This Tuesday 8 August, Prince Harry arrived on Japanese soil, where he is making a new trip. Meanwhile, his wife Meghan Markle was spotted at Taylor Swift’s concert in Los Angeles. It was a moment that the Duchess of Sussex particularly enjoyed, as our colleagues at People revealed.

A solo outing that did not go unnoticed. After a remarkable visit to Rwanda in the summer of 2022, Prince Harry flew to Japan. On Tuesday 8 August, the Duke of Sussex was filmed arriving at Tokyo-Haneda international airport. He was then joined by his friend and polo star Ignacio ‘Nacho’ Figueras. During this trip, the youngest son of Charles III will be rolling up his sleeves and supporting a number of philanthropic sporting events. This is a new mission that Harry is carrying out alone. His wife Meghan Markle has remained on American soil. While her husband is busy with his various commitments, the actress, who has just turned 42, has decided to enjoy herself. The mother of Archie and Lilibet attended Taylor Swift’s concert in the City of Angels.

As revealed by People, Meghan Markle was in the front row to watch the singer’s performance at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. A moment that the Duchess of Sussex shared with her best friend, Lucy Fraser. During the show, Meghan Markle was spotted singing Taylor Swift’s greatest hits at the top of her lungs. “Meghan jumped out of her chair to sing ‘You Belong with Me’,” revealed the American tabloid. An evening that certainly allowed Meghan Markle to forget her troubles for a while.

Meghan Markle: why didn’t she accompany Prince Harry to Japan?

When Prince Harry travelled alone to Japan, many people wondered about the absence of Meghan Markle and their two cherubs. According to Lynn Carratt, who officiates for PR agency Press Box PR, the trip would have been complicated to organise with two small children. “Although I’m sure Harry would have liked Meghan’s support, travelling to different countries with two children to look after can be difficult,” the source admitted to the Mirror. The source added: “Harry has also, on many occasions, undertaken his Sentebale engagements solo.”

While the Sussexes have recently been the subject of divorce rumours, Lynn Carratt felt that the couple could now confidently spend time apart. “They have probably become more confident to spend time focusing individually on their own personal passions. Harry will want to use this trip to show the good work he is doing for the organisations he is involved with and create some positivity for his reputation,” she said. After this tour of Japan, William’s younger brother will return to Europe in the company of his wife. From 9 to 16 September, Harry and Meghan will be in Düsseldorf to attend the sixth edition of the Invictus Games. It remains to be seen whether Lilibet and Archie will be there this time. To be continued…
