Princess Charlotte turns five this Saturday, May 2nd. For the occasion, Prince William and Kate Middleton shared four previously unpublished photos of the young girl, taken by her mother while she was preparing charity food baskets.
Happy Birthday, Princess Charlotte! Prince William’s only daughter turns 5 this Saturday, May 2nd, and for the occasion she posed in front of the lens of her mother, the passionate patron of the Royal Photographic Society.
On the family’s Instagram account the day before the party, her parents posted a portrait of the girl. This was followed by three shots of her in a black and white gingham dress of one of Kate Middleton’s favourite brands, Zara – from an old collection.
We discover her varnished babies on her feet, in the middle of charity work. The caption reads: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share four new photos of Princess Charlotte for her fifth birthday tomorrow.
The photos were taken by the Duchess while the family helped prepare and deliver food baskets for isolated retirees in the area.” Like her brother Louis, who also had his two-year anniversary photo shoot on April 23rd – a tradition in which all the siblings participate – Princess Charlotte will blow out her candles confined to the Cambridge’s country home, Anmer Hall in Norfolk.
This fifth anniversary was one of five family celebrations the family was about to attend, before their plans were disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic. In April, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Louis finally celebrated their birthdays in small groups. Kate Middleton and Prince William’s ninth wedding anniversary this Wednesday, April 29, was spent with their children, and at home. As for Princess Beatrice, she will have to wait to say “yes” to her fiancé Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
