Prince Harry’s London Visit: Tensions with King Charles III and Prince William Emerge

Prince Harry will be in Europe in September for various engagements. This led the British press to believe that a reconciliation, or at least a family reunion, could take place. According to the Daily Mail on 24 August 2023, however, this is not the case.

A timetable that raises questions. Prince Harry is preparing a few days of European travel for the start of the new academic year in September: the Duke of Sussex will be in Germany for the Invictus Games from 9 September, the games he founded, in which war veterans take part in a sports tournament. But this will not be his only trip: he is also due to make an appearance for charity. As the Daily Mail reports, he “has no intention of seeing his brother or father” during this visit.

While the kingdom will commemorate the anniversary of Elizabeth II’s death on 8 September, Prince Harry has no intention of reuniting with the rest of his family. But the reason is simple: Charles III and William will simply not be in London at that time. Gathered at Balmoral in Scotland, as they are every year at this time of year, father and son will not be able to have tea with Prince Harry, because of the distance involved! And they’re not planning to make the trip!

A conditional reconciliation for Prince Harry

While Prince Harry will be back in his homeland, Meghan Markle will be “at home” in Montecito. Our British colleagues at OK! have revealed that a source close to the royal family has said that, if there is to be a reconciliation, the King would like to set one condition. The source, whose comments to OK! magazine were picked up by L’Express, claims that the King was hurt by Prince Harry’s comments about the royal family. “If talks take place, the King will impose that no private family history be discussed in public in the future,” the source said. Will Archie and Lilibet’s father accept this condition?
