A few days after their wedding with great pomp and circumstance on 19 May, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry unveiled the official photos of the event. While on the first two they appeared alongside the royal family and the children of honour, the third picture attracted a little more public attention.

It shows the two bride and groom sitting quietly on the steps of Windsor Castle with a huge smile on their faces. A very special shooting, whose photographer, Alexi Lubomirski agreed to reveal the backstage during an interview with the American channel ABC.

“It was one of those magical moments, when as a photographer, everything goes perfectly, still under the spell. The sun was right above the Palace, behind them. It was a serene scene, with a magnificent light”, he began by telling.

As pretty as this photo is, it is completely the result of chance: “I told them to sit on those steps” and she fell there, right between her legs. They were laughing because they were having fun, thinking that they were exhausted and it was finally over”.

"THAT BLACK AND WHITE PICTURE WHEN THEY'RE SO CLOSE MAKES YOU FEEL THEIR LOVE"

For Alexi Lubomirski, there is no question of the official photos of the newlyweds having a stilted side. The professional explained that he wanted a very natural result close to reality that truly reflects the love between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as could be seen during the ceremony in the heart of St. George’s Chapel on 19 May last.

“It feels like they are one, and this black and white image when they are so close makes you feel their love,” he commented, visibly delighted with the result of his hard work. He concluded: “If I had to retain one word from this session, it would be ‘family’.”
