Now living in California, Prince Harry went to Colorado this Thursday, August 19th to participate in a polo match in favor of vulnerable children in Southern Africa.

Prince Harry appeared publicly for the first time on Thursday, August 19, since the birth of his little Lilibet Diana. Settled with his wife and their children in California, Meghan Markle’s husband made the trip to Aspen (Colorado), for a charity polo competition. Diana’s son, invested in humanitarian causes, has pledged to donate 1.2 million euros for disadvantaged children in southern Africa. These funds will come from the sales of his memoirs, a potentially explosive four-volume series, scheduled for release in late 2022.

Co-founded by Prince Harry, the polo competition has raised three million euros. The grandson of Elizabeth II distinguished himself. He won the match (3-0), scoring two of his team’s three goals. The father of the family probably had an emotional thought for his mother, Diana, herself involved in charitable causes. Indeed, this competition was created in memory of the princess in 2006, in Lesotho, to help children affected by poverty, inequality and the HIV epidemic in southern Africa. In the audience, there was no trace of Meghan Markle or their two children, Archie (2 years) and Lilibet, barely two months old. Until now, the 36-year-old prince took advantage of his parental leave with his wife, to take care of their two young children, in their sublime property in Montecito.

A new era of visibility

Harry’s visit to Colorado is not a coincidence. When school starts, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle plan to enter “a new era of visibility.” According to Omid Scobie, author of the biography Finding Freedom, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will take a step forward in their public life, becoming more visible in support of their Archewell Foundation. “They’re a couple that does very well in those moments of human interaction. They have to be on the ground,” the royalty expert shared in the columns of People this Wednesday, August 18.
