Meghan Markle: This derogatory allusion to England’s royal family

As she was speaking in a video conference at an event dedicated to the most influential women on Tuesday 13 October, Meghan Markle spoke about her in-laws in particularly frosty terms. A way to distance herself further after her departure from the Firm?

It’s no secret that the relationship between Meghan Markle and the Crown is far from perfect. Since she decided to slam the monarchy’s door after months of harassment by some of the British media and tensions with other members of the royal family, the Duchess of Sussex seems to have regained her joie de vivre and proves at the same time that the smile on her face is no longer just a facade.

Meghan Markle was interviewed by videoconference during a summit devoted to the influence of women. She first spoke about the dangers of social networks, which she compared to substance addiction.

The Duchess, herself very active on social networks for several years, who had deleted her accounts shortly after joining the firm, pointed out that the official Sussex pages were not managed directly by the couple at the time. “We had an Instagram account through the institution and our office which was in the UK. But we didn’t handle it, our team did,” she said.
