Meghan Markle more worried about the Megxit than Harry: this unexpected revelation

What if Meghan Markle hadn’t influenced Harry’s decision to leave the royal family as much as some say? On the contrary, a new biography of the couple states that Harry himself would have been the one who started it all.

Should the Megxit have been called the Harxit? While Meghan Markle is seen by some as the trigger for Harry’s decision to distance himself from the royal family, a forthcoming biography, Finding Freedom, sheds new light on the issue. According to the Sun on Sunday, which was able to consult the book written by journalists Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, Harry was in fact behind the Megxit from the beginning. “The truth is that Harry had been unhappy for a long, long time,” a source in the newspaper confirmed.

“He already wanted to go down the path they finally took, he’d been thinking about it for over a year,” the source continued. According to the couple’s biography, Harry would not like the term “Megxit” at all, which suggests that his wife would have made the decision for him, as also implied by Boris Johnson’s father, the writer Stanley Johnson. On the contrary, Meghan Markle would have been the most worried about the consequences of this radical break-up. “Meghan supported Harry’s decision, but she asked him on more than one occasion if he was sure he wanted this,” said the Sun on Sunday source.

“Dispelling rumours”

While Harry and Meghan have settled permanently in Los Angeles, where they recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary, this biography, which will be released on August 11th, aims to “dispel the many rumours and misconceptions” surrounding the couple. For their research, Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand could have spoken directly to the couple’s friends, and even to the Sussex. So, a rehabilitation operation orchestrated by the couple, or a real clarification?
