A specialist in “political communication in the United States”, she was Michelle Obama’s press secretary from 2007 to 2011 and worked on the “public relations” campaigns of Hillary Clinton and John Kerry. With the company having “decades of experience” working with “world leaders” to “address reputational, political, philanthropic, legal and financial challenges,” some question Meghan Markle’s ambitions.

Did she call on the services of KML Strategic Advisors to prepare a possible future in politics, or simply to restore the image of the Sussex couple, tarnished by their documentary series for Netflix and the memoirs of Prince Harry? According to a source close to The Sun magazine, Katie McCormick Lelyveld would have been hired by the Sussex couple as an “experienced strategic advisor”, and not for a possible evolution in politics. However, the idea of going into politics is “attractive” for the mother of Archie and Lilibet Diana, according to royal expert Daniela Elser.
“By becoming a senator (or better), Meghan would get something that has really eluded her, even today, despite her wealth and title: real power of her own and on her own terms,” the columnist assured, according to the British edition of L’express in July 2022. However, the journalist warned her: “They should give up their Sussex titles completely. The mother of two children could also say goodbye to the private life that she and Harry have carved out for themselves in their adopted city of Montecito.”
