Meghan Markle, her best supporters are her two dogs: Her confusing confidences

In her most difficult moments, Meghan Markle turns to her two dogs. A confidence that Caroline Yates shared in a recent interview with Hello! magazine.

The year 2020 has been a difficult one for Meghan Markle. But in the face of hardship, she has turned not to her husband and his lucrative contracts, but to her two dogs. They are Guy, the beagle, and Pula, an adorable black labrador.

Caroline Yates, CEO of the animal welfare organisation The Mayhew (whose former actress has been a patron of the arts since January 2019 and which she has not given up despite her plans), was recently revealed in the columns of the British magazine Hello! “Whenever we talk to the Duchess about the association, she always refers to the importance of her dogs and the support they give her,” she says.

The Duchess of Sussex has been particularly in need of such unwavering support. Departure from the Firm, reconversion in California, coronavirus and miscarriage: in 2020, Meghan Markle has known no respite. “It was really nice to share our experiences with her about the importance of animals when things are difficult and the comfort they can be,” continued Caroline Yates.

Canids play a major role in the well-being of the former Suits star. It is therefore no surprise that she and her husband, Prince Harry, shared the spotlight with Guy, Pula (and little Archie) on their greeting card for the year 2020. The card was unveiled on The Mayhew’s Instagram account.

New Year, New Obstacles

Meghan Markle is likely to turn to Guy and Pula once again because of her stand-off with Associated Newspapers, the parent company of the tabloids The Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday. Archie’s mother and Prince Harry went on a crusade against the British press in 2019, following the publication of an intimate letter to Thomas Markle.

A harrowing trial is expected in the autumn of 2021. Another trial for the Duchess, who may well face her father, who is ready to testify against her. Testimony that “would be traumatic for Meghan and Harry” as well as “deeply uncomfortable”, according to a royal source quoted by The Times newspaper. Another obstacle for this year 2021? The reunion of the Sussex clan with the royal family. Let us remember that their relationship is not in good shape.
