To everyone’s surprise, Meghan Markle and her husband Prince Harry have released, this Thursday, December 23, their Christmas card on which appears (finally) their daughter Lilibet. We can also see how much Archie has already changed!
The crowned heads are actively preparing for Christmas. As for the British royal family, if Queen Elizabeth II is getting ready to spend the holidays in a very restricted committee because of the coronavirus pandemic, her grandson Prince Harry is smiling. The festive spirit, he unveiled his family greeting card with a great first: the appearance of his daughter Lilibet.
It is on the website of Team Rubicon, an organization supported by the Archewell Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, that we could discover this greeting card. We discover, for the very first time, the face of Lilibet born in June 2021 in Santa Barbara, California; the couple chose to settle in the United States after announcing their withdrawal from the royal family. “Happy Holidays. This year, 2021, we welcomed our daughter, Lilibet, into this world. Archie has made us a mom and dad and Lili has made us a family. As we look ahead to 2022, we have made donations in your name to various organizations that honor and protect families – from those uprooted in Afghanistan to American families in need of financial support during maternity leave,” it reads.
The photo, which shows a radiant and smiling family after complicated months following the decried interview given by Meghan Markle (40) and Prince Harry (37) to Oprah Winfrey – source of great tension with members of the royal family but also the media – was taken by Alexi Lubomirski. It dates from last summer and was captured at the lovers’ chic home. It also shows Archie, who has already changed a lot at 2 years old. We can see that he is starting to have the same hair as his dad, baldness less it goes without saying. “We wish you a happy holiday season and a prosperous new year, from our family to yours. Harry, Meghan, Archie, Lili,” the card adds.
