After causing controversy with a statement of support, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made up for it well. The parents of Archie and Lilibet Diana have shown “generosity” by financially helping the organization Women For Afghan Women.

A gesture that will not go unnoticed. While Afghanistan is in the middle of a crisis situation since the Taliban took over, many humanitarian organizations are offering their help. This Saturday, August 21, the organization Women For Afghan Women (WAW) thanked the “generosity” of the Archewell Foundation, on its Instagram account. A foundation created and managed by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. However, the details of the donation and its financial amount were not disclosed.

“We are extremely grateful for the generosity of the Archewell Foundation in support of our efforts to evacuate / relocate thousands of Afghan women, children, families, including our staff,” the Instagram post reads. WAW is considered the largest organization in Afghanistan, to help women, for 20 years. According to the Mail Online, more than 850 Afghan employees work for the organization and “tirelessly” provide support services to those in need. Thanks to this generous donation, the parents of Archie and Lilibet Diana are slowly erasing a recent controversy.

The calm after the storm

Before offering their help to Women For Afghan Women, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were at the origin of a new controversy. On the official website of their foundation, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had expressed themselves on the situation in Afghanistan in a statement on August 17. The two spouses were then “speechless” and “heartbroken” about this historic crisis. This statement attracted the wrath of some royal experts who considered it “condescending”. The message of the royal couple had even been compared to a “word salad” by angry Internet users.
