Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, guests of the royal family at Christmas?

Months after the explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry seem to have forgotten their allegations against the royal family. And for good reason, the couple from Sussex wants to see the Queen in the coming weeks and why not at Christmas too.

This unexpected and very surprising request from the Sussexes. Despite the recent tensions in the royal camp, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry did not hesitate to ask for a “meeting with the Queen” to (finally) introduce their daughter, Lilibet, born last June. For the royal assistants, they have “absolute nerve” to make this request after what “they have put her through this year” according to the statements of a source to The Sun.

Further discussions have taken place about the holiday season, as reported by the News. For the moment, “Her Majesty’s staff has not yet responded” to this unexpected request. Because “in fact, there have also been discussions about Christmas, and whether an invitation should be sent to Harry and Meghan, after having rejected one last year.” It’s hard for the queen and her entourage to ignore the Sussex couple’s words so they hesitate. Their words as well as their actions have created a lot of conflict. Even if “the queen still loves Harry very much and would like to see Lilibet and his brother Archi”, this meeting will undoubtedly be very tense…

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry: a Christmas without the queen

Last year, still as angry with the British royal family, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle did not spend the holiday season with Queen Elizabeth II. Archie’s parents preferred to stay in the United States. “They are really enjoying their new life in California and their new home. They have no plans to return to the UK for Christmas,” said Katie Nicholl, Vanity Fair magazine’s royalty expert. She added, “No one is ready for a cozy family Christmas yet.” Still, is having a Christmas this year really a good idea? Tensions are even higher than last year… It remains to be seen whether each of the royals can get past the allegations made in front of millions of viewers.
