While Prince Harry appears to be looking for accommodation in the UK, the question of whether he, his wife Meghan Markle and their children will be in the UK for Christmas is being raised in the British press.
Once again this year, King Charles III was to continue the tradition, instituted by his late mother Queen Elizabeth II, of gathering the British royal family at Sandringham for Christmas. And once again this year, Prince Harry is expected to be absent. As are his wife Meghan Markle and their children Archie and Lilibet. “Just as Harry did not attend Balmoral this summer, it is unlikely that he will grace Sandringham with his presence”, said royal expert Tessa Dunlop in the Mirror. It is not known whether Charles III had invited the American exile to attend.
If the British press is already asking whether Harry and Meghan will be coming to Sandringham for Christmas, it is because rumour has it that the couple are looking for permanent accommodation near London. “It doesn’t look like King Charles will be getting a Christmas hug from his absent grandchildren,” says Tessa Dunlop to the Mirror.
Prince Harry and Meghan evicted by King Charles III
Prince Harry has to make regular trips to London as part of his ongoing legal battles with the British press. “It’s not out of the question to use a small flat at Kensington Palace from time to time, but when it comes to a house in the UK, they’ll buy it themselves,” says a source in OK! magazine.
Harry and Meghan went into exile for Canada and then the United States at the beginning of 2020. But the couple still had the use of their home at Frogmore Cottage. But in 2023, following the publication of Harry’s book The Substitute, King Charles III ousted his youngest son and daughter-in-law. On his subsequent visits to London, Prince Harry stayed at Soho House, a private club with its own hotel. It was in this establishment that his first date with Meghan Markle took place.
