For the launch of their podcast, “Archewell Audio”, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made a point of inviting a special guest: Sir Elton John, one of Diana’s old friends.

While Kate Middleton continues to pay discreet tributes to her late mother-in-law, two other people have decided to wink at her: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. For the launch of their podcast, “Archewell Audio”, the couple invited one of their friends: Sir Elton John.
The British singer, very close to Princess Diana, had moved the whole world by singing the song, Candle in the Wind, at her funeral in 1997. Since then, the multi-award winning artist has remained close to the royal family, but also to Lady Di’s children. He was present at Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle, and did not hesitate to defend the couple, when they were criticized in August 2019 for travelling in an environmentally unfriendly way.
A nice surprise revealed in the podcast
The choice of this special guest therefore seemed obvious to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The couple took advantage of the launch of their podcast to surprise their fans with a nice surprise. We hear for the first time the voice of their son Archie. The boy, one and a half year old, says a few words on the microphone (to be found on Spotify, from 32:00).
When his mother asks him: “Archie, is this fun?” the baby answers, in a cute little voice: “fun”. He also repeats his father’s words, “Happy New Year,” to wish him a happy new year. An adorable moment that nicely punctuates the year of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
