AFTER A FEW MONTHS IN THEIR VILLA ON VANCOUVER ISLAND, MEGHAN MARKLE AND PRINCE HARRY MOVE TO THE SUMPTUOUS PETRA MANOR IN MALIBU. THEY WILL RENT THE HOUSE UNTIL THEY FIND A PERMANENT HOME.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are planning to move to Petra Manor, a sumptuous villa in Malibu. But according to the Daily Mail, the move would only be temporary until they find their dream home.
Stuart Heller, director of Stay Awhile Villas, the company that rents the house, neither confirmed nor denied this information in an article published on the Daily Mail’s website on 27 March.
He conceded, however, that he and his staff are “often contacted by well-known families to test out areas of Los Angeles before moving there permanently. “It’s a short-term tenancy.
A lot of people come to Malibu to find a house and become tenants first to see if it makes sense for them and their families,” he added.
More than 13,000 euros a night
The property built in 2015 by David Charvet and his wife Cheryl Burke -on land owned by Mel Gibson- is located in the Serra Retreat, a closed and guarded area where Meghan and Harry can enjoy the privacy they desire.
According to Stuart Heller, it “is perfect for anyone who wants to settle in this area”. Located 50 kilometres from Meghan Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, the villa has eight bedrooms, a cinema, a swimming pool and a tennis court. It was Kylie Jenner’s home in 2018, a dark year for her family, who found themselves in the middle of a scandal.
Despite the bad memories it holds, it would be ideal as a pied-Ã -terre for the Sussex. A pied-Ã -terre to be earned. On the site of Stay Awhile Villas, Petra Manor, estimated at 7 million dollars – about 6.3 million euros – costs 14,500 dollars a night, or about 13,000 euros, not including taxes. A temporary and expensive solution.
