Meghan Markle and Harry: Discover their program for Christmas away from the royal family

While Queen Elizabeth II and her husband will spend Christmas alone in Sandringham, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will stay on their side in the United States. Health crisis forces, the end of the year holidays are all turned upside down, but the magic of Christmas should fortunately always operate.

Holidays like no other. While the royal family will celebrate the Christmas holidays in a dispersed order, nothing will take place on Sandringham’s royal grounds this year. Due to a health crisis, Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip are confined to Windsor Castle for security reasons.

The Sussex couple will spend Christmas at their Montecito home in Santa Barbara, quietly with little Archie and his grandmother Doria Ragland, according to Vanity Fair. On the Cambridge side, however, nothing has been recorded yet.

The year 2020 has been an eventful one for Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and the royal family. As the couple went into exile in the United States, ties with the Windsor clan gradually weakened. Their Finding Freedom biography, the highly publicized trial of the Duchess of Sussex against the Daily Mail, their highly criticized speech before the American presidential election and their umpteenth provocation against the Queen on Remembrance Day are just a few examples of the tension between the couple and the royal family.

But recent events have finally allowed them to strengthen their ties. The health crisis that weakened the whole world, the Covid-19 epidemic that affected Prince Charles and then his son Prince William, and the miscarriage of Meghan Markle, so many events that would have finally eased tensions and pushed both sides to greater benevolence.

A “much better” relationship between the two princes

So much so that Christmas promises to be rather serene for the various members of the royal family, whether on the side of the United Kingdom or on that of the United States. “To the great relief of the royal family, Harry’s relationship with William is said to be ‘much better than it was’, “the brothers are in regular contact, and the Sussex have sent Christmas presents to the Cambridge family”.

Thanks to new technology, the two families, who have often been said to be estranged, should even take the time to connect to see each other and exchange virtually. “I have no doubt that they will call each other by video during the Christmas period,” says one source. And if the year 2021 started under the best auspices?
