Harry and Meghan Markle taken by surprise by Elizabeth II

On March 7, CBS will air Oprah Winfrey’s exclusive interview with Meghan Markle and Harry from last week. An interview that could be re-released in the meantime, however, reveals our source, since the Sussex people talk about their patronage, which the Queen deprived them of a few days ago… to their great surprise.

Their dream of emancipation has turned into a nightmare. While Meghan Markle and Harry were looking forward to the upcoming broadcast of their exclusive interview with their friend Oprah Winfrey on CBS, they were caught off guard by Elizabeth II who, furious, decided to punish them by depriving them of their patronage. Problem, their interview focused precisely on their roles within the royal family.

“When the Duke and Duchess spoke, it was not envisaged for a second that they would be deprived of their patronage,” a source said. And to specify that the parents of the little Archie would have been the first surprised by this decision: “They did not see it coming and spoke as if they still had roles to play (…) Harry and Meghan thought that they would keep them.”

Harry deeply upset

Shocked, Harry, would be deeply “upset” by the retaliatory measures taken by Elizabeth II. This is all the more so since his patronage has almost returned to his elder, William, with whom his relations are already strained. However, the monarch, anxious not to aggravate the situation, would prefer to use a joker.

It is thus Princess Anne, 70 years old, who should succeed Prince Harry as Captain General of the Royal Marines. “Who succeeds Harry is a thorny issue in the family, so giving the Queen the last word is the right thing to do,” concludes a royal source. A last word that should be pronounced in the summer…
