Harry and Meghan Markle in the line of fire of the paparazzi: a picture would be worth a small fortune

Hunted by the paparazzi, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry can make a lot of money… in spite of themselves. A cliché of the couple can be negotiated at a very high price.

As much adored as they are hated, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry never cease to fascinate the media around the world, especially since their departure from the British monarchy.

And this unhealthy interest is characterized by an increased presence of photographers around their property in Los Angeles. Some have even crossed the line by trying to get pictures of Archie, the couple’s son, with drones posted several meters above their house.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex can make a lot of money on the photo market. As the Daily Star reveals, an image of them on the beach near their new property in Santa Barbara could be worth around $250,000 (about 210,000 euros).

This amount was calculated by Mark Karloff, a photographer based in Los Angeles. According to him, photos of the couple are very sought-after, especially with the recent publication of Finding Freedom (Harry and Meghan, free in French version), their “authorized” biography in mid-August.

Thus, a picture of Harry with other celebrities on the beach, or doing a water activity, such as jet-skiing, could amount to “a quarter of a million dollars at least,” says Karloff. “You may not have anything for months, but there will be a time when you see them going down to the beach.”

It’s too hard to stay at home

The temperatures in Los Angeles should favor this type of outing. “I don’t see how they couldn’t go out to the beach right now (…). It’s too difficult to stay at home when there are so many things to do,” continues the photographer.

“There are a lot of hiking trails, a lot of lakes to go to (…). There are also private hotels you can go to.” So many activities that could eventually attract Meghan Markle and Prince Harry… and dozens of photographers with them.
