Elizabeth II, still riding a horse at the Age of 94: This very remarkable photo

In her first official photo since last March, Elizabeth II appears on horseback. At 94 years old, the monarch is still in good shape, as shown in this highly commented photograph.

At 94 years old, Elizabeth II is still in great shape! Since last March, the monarch had left the radar screens, apart from her few appearances on television to deliver encouraging messages to the British to help them cope with the health crisis. In fact, since last March 19, Prince Philip’s wife had been confined to Windsor because of the coronavirus epidemic.

Gone are the days. On Sunday, May 31, Elizabeth II appeared on horseback. In this first picture published since last March, she was riding Fern, her 14-year-old pony Fell. Queen Elizabeth II, confident of her riding skills, is not wearing a helmet but a scarf on her head. A great lover of horseback riding, a sport she has been practicing since she was 4 years old, Elizabeth II shows that she still has her heart set on practicing this sporting activity which seems to clear her head.

No return to Buckingham?

If the Queen reappears in front of the photographers, she is not ready to return to Buckingham Palace. According to The Sunday Times, the Queen of England and Prince Philip, in fragile health, will have to wait several months before returning to their usual residence.

“It is likely that she will remain in Windsor for most of the year, as her annual summer holiday at Balmoral Castle in Scotland is cancelled,” the Royalcentral website explains. But that doesn’t mean the Queen is neglecting her professional obligations. “She will continue to hold her weekly hearings with the Prime Minister by telephone instead of face-to-face meetings,” the source said.
