Prince William “furious” about his brother’s behavior in the Megxit story? At least that is what some sources close to him report.
On February 14, Valentine’s Day, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan announced that they were expecting a second child. This good news was followed by an announcement from a spokesman at Buckingham Palace that “The Queen has written to confirm that by stepping down from the duties of the Royal Family, (Meghan and Harry) will no longer be able to assume their responsibilities and the duties that come with a life of public service”.
A message to which the couple’s spokesman responded by saying: “We can all live a life of service. Service is universal. An answer considered “irritating” by many royal experts in the British press, but also by Prince William, according to the Sunday Times. According to sources interviewed by the newspaper, Prince William considers this response “insulting and disrespectful” to the Queen, and would be “furious”.
“You don’t respond to the Queen, that’s the way it is,” said one source. Despite recent media tension between the two brothers, it would appear that Prince William wants to see things work out between him and Prince Harry. Also in the Sunday Times, a relative of the elder prince said, “It’s always tense. (William) was very upset by what happened, but he really wants his relationship with Harry to repair itself over time.”
Harry and Meghan have crossed the red line
Royal biographer Angela Levin said that Meghan and Harry had “crossed the red line” in deciding to distance themselves from the monarchy. “The Queen is a patient woman. She loves her family, but her sense of duty takes precedence over her children and grandchildren.
” Regarding the couple’s future relationship with the rest of the royal family, Angela Levin responds: “I think (Harry) is more loyal to his wife. I hope this new baby will be a bonding opportunity, but the future will tell.”
