In an interview for the American magazine People, Prince Harry confided on the influence of Lady Diana on him.
On August 31, 1997, Diana Spencer died. A tragic car accident that will forever mark the lives of her two sons, Princes William and Harry. At the time of this tragedy, Prince Harry was only twelve years old. In an interview for the American tabloid People, of which the Daily Mail reveals excerpts, Meghan Markle’s husband explained how his late mother impacted his life from beyond. “In the 12 short years I was lucky enough to have her by my side,” he confided with emotion. If for some it is not imaginable, for Prince Harry, it is obvious that Diana was always with him.
Convinced, Prince Harry even admits to having “seen and felt her energy.” This zest for life she “acquired by helping others, regardless of their background, illness or status.” Because of her dedication, these people’s lives have been better. Today, it is a given for him to help his fellow man. “I honor my mother in everything I do. I am my mother’s son,” says the father of two, proud of his commitments and values. That’s why he makes it a point to follow in her footsteps. The pilgrimage to Africa (2019) is an example. And this is only the beginning of his journey.
Prince Harry dedicated to others
The Sussexes lead several causes at once through their Archewell Foundation. For example, last March, they were involved with gender equality. On several occasions, the couple has renewed its support for the Ukrainian people affected by war. During Covid-19, Prince Harry mobilized to “distribute equitably the COVID-19 vaccines to the world population” in partnership with Global Citizen. Harry and Meghan Markle also support other organizations “that we believe in with grants.” They are also back at the Invictus Games. By mobilizing in this way, Prince Harry is trying to follow the commitments of Diana, the princess of hearts.
