Bad news for the British royal family. The Crown could be renewed beyond its sixth and final season to address the lives of Princes William and Harry.
Princes Harry and William will finally not be spared. According to a royal expert, The Crown series could be “extended” beyond its already planned seasons 5 and 6, and address the stories of Lady Diana’s sons as they grow up.
“There are rumours that Netflix is talking about the possibility of extending the series. A new change of project for the series, which was supposed to last only five seasons as its creator told us last January, but was finally renewed for another one in July.
The Megxit in “The Crown”?
While “originally it was said that the series would end before William and Harry became adults”, this news should not please the British royal family, who are just coming out of the storm caused by the Megxit.
They will now have to prepare to see their story on Netflix for a few more years. “When you think of the extent of the controversy that this season has caused, [The Crown] will be in the lives of royalty for some time to come. Given the irritation that Season 4 of the series created by Peter Morgan has caused the Firm, there is no doubt that his next two – or more – seasons will not be greeted with joy in Buckingham.
