Meghan and Harry, well established in the United States, have decided to sell Frogmore Cottage to Eugenie of York and her husband Jack Brooksbank, who will be able to welcome their unborn baby there.
Meghan and Harry continue to live quietly in the United States, not caring too much about what their actions may do to the Royal Family of England. Or even their popularity, which is clearly not at its best. But on the other hand, the couple continues to maintain strong ties with certain members of royalty, including the Queen and Charles of course, but also Eugenie of York, who has been present for them since the beginning of their history. Surprisingly, however, Meghan and Harry have just sold him Frogmore Cottage. Sign for some that they have no intention of returning to live in the United Kingdom.
According to The Sun, Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank, who are expecting their first child, have made a very private agreement with Harry and Meghan to occupy the house. It is not known for how long or under what conditions. Officially, Frogmore Cottage remains the British residence of the Sussex couple. Still, everything they owned was packed up and sent to California. Eugenie of York and Jack Brooksbank have been on the premises for about two weeks according to the British tabloid.
Frogmore Cottage was thought for Archie.
Harry and Meghan have repaid the renovation work at Frogmore Cottage. This home was originally designed for their family, to house and raise Archie. Their plans have since changed dramatically. But the changes they’ve made make this royal home “the perfect place for a couple to raise a child,” according to a source in The Sun. What’s more, Frogmore Cottage is located very close to Windsor Castle, and also not far from the Royal Lodge, where Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Eugenie of York’s parents, live.
Frogmore’s work is reimbursed
And for Princess Eugenie, this move is also an opportunity to get a little closer to her loved ones. Princess Beatrice’s sister, who previously lived at Ivy Cottage, will be moving closer to her parents – who live at the Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park – but also to Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. And they know the place very well, as this is where they have spent most of their confinement in recent months.
So the future parents move to Frogmore Cottage, a residence that has crystallized criticism against Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The couple, who have completely renovated the cottage, have finally covered all the costs after being heavily criticized. In September, a spokesman for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said that Prince Harry had “fully covered” the cost of renovating Frogmore Cottage. Princess Eugenie can therefore wait with peace of mind for the birth of her first child within the walls of this residence.
