Harry and Meghan have repaid the renovation work at Frogmore Cottage. This home was originally designed for their family, to house and raise Archie. Their plans have since changed dramatically. What’s more, Frogmore Cottage is located very close to Windsor Castle, and also not far from the Royal Lodge, where Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, Eugenie of York’s parents, live.

Frogmore’s work is reimbursed
And for Princess Eugenie, this move is also an opportunity to get a little closer to her loved ones. Princess Beatrice’s sister, who previously lived at Ivy Cottage, will be moving closer to her parents – who live at the Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park – but also to Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. And they know the place very well, as this is where they have spent most of their confinement in recent months.
So the future parents move to Frogmore Cottage, a residence that has crystallized criticism against Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The couple, who have completely renovated the cottage, have finally covered all the costs after being heavily criticized. In September, a spokesman for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said that Prince Harry had “fully covered” the cost of renovating Frogmore Cottage. Princess Eugenie can therefore wait with peace of mind for the birth of her first child within the walls of this residence.
