Harry and William at odds: Prince Charles implicitly blamed

Exiled in Los Angeles, Harry has no more contact with William. A situation that could never have come to light during Diana’s lifetime according to her former bodyguard Ken Wharf, who implicitly points the finger at Prince Charles in the columns of Vanity Fair.

Diana’s worst nightmare came true. After giving up his royal duties, Harry has flown to Los Angeles, where he hopes to make a second start away from the Firm’s straitjacket. A departure all the more difficult for the British, since the Duke of Sussex, once so close to William, no longer speaks to him. This, for Ken Wharf, Diana’s former bodyguard, would never have happened in his lifetime, as he explained to our colleagues at Vanity Fair.

Proud of the relationship between her two sons, Lady Di would have been “completely devastated” by the way things turned out and would not have “allowed” the conflict to “escalate”. Unlike Prince Charles, who failed to resonate with his sons, Diana, who had “enormous influence” over them, “would have quickly found a solution”. “I don’t think Harry and Meghan would have left Kensington Palace if Diana was still there,” Wharf sighs.

William and Harry: an inextricable situation

Although the two enemy brothers have recently managed to put their differences aside to pay homage to their mother, they do not seem to want to put water in their wine. Harry, madly in love with Meghan Markle, cannot forgive the behaviour of his elder brother, whom he considers too “snobbish”. Even Diana’s brother has failed to reconcile them. A situation that, with distance, only worsens… to the great despair of their loved ones, nostalgic for their moments of complicity.
