Did the royal family voluntarily snub Meghan Markle for Prince Harry’s 36th birthday? Archie’s mother does not appear in the photos posted the Cambridge and the Queen.
Despite the Megxit, the royal family has not forgotten Prince Harry’s birthday this Tuesday, September 15 and has published several photos in honor of the Duke of Sussex. These photos all had one thing in common: the notorious absence of Meghan Markle.
And for good reason: the pictures published to celebrate Prince Harry’s 36th birthday date from 2017, that year they were not yet married. On the social networks, the questions arise: has Prince Harry’s wife been snubbed? According to the Daily Mail, the answer is no. Royal aides told the tabloid that there is a “protocol surrounding royal birthdays, as with any Palace sponsored event,” that spouses should not be included.
Some simply wonder if they have not been forced to look far back in time to find clichés where Prince Harry appears smiling, especially with his brother, with whom relations have been strained for several months, despite rumors of reconciliation.
The photo posted on their Instagram Kensingtonroyal account by Prince William and Kate Middleton is the one that made the most noise. Taken in February 2017, it shows Harry, Kate and William on Money London Marathon Training Day. They show a frank complicity that has not been seen in them for years.
What message?
What meaning should be given to this choice of photo? Should we understand “We miss you as you were” or does it represent Prince Harry “running away” from the royal family as the Daily Mail assumes? Apart from the absence of Meghan Markle, the common thread in the photos posted by Cambridge and Queen Elizabeth II is the radiant smile of Prince Harry.
A little reminder shot to show that he seemed very happy in the royal family, before he married and left with his wife.
