Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and Archie have been away from London for almost a year. A distancing which affects Prince Charles a lot, who would like to see his grandson again.
It has been almost a year since Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle left England to live on the other side of the Atlantic, first in Canada and then in the United States. The Sussex couple and their son Archie now live in Montecito, a wealthy town near Santa Barbara, two hours north of Los Angeles. In early 2020, before the Megxit became official, the Duke and Duchess Sussex had returned to the United Kingdom, twice, but without taking Archie with them.
According to the Daily Mail, it has been more than 12 months since the royal family has seen Archie, except for Facetime and video calls. And there’s a good chance that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be spending Christmas and New Year’s Eve at the Montecito.
It will be their first Christmas with their family in the new villa they bought in July. What’s more, with the Coronavirus epidemic that continues to plague the world, it’s not sure the couple will want to travel.
His family misses Archie
Only this distance, Prince Charles would experience it rather badly. At any rate, this is what a relative of the family confided: “The Prince of Wales loved to go to Frogmore Cottage to see his youngest grandson, and it is sad not to have seen him for so long.
He has missed so much of his development now that he is growing up in the United States.” And Prince Harry’s father is not the only one who feels sad: “‘Other family members are really sad not to see Archie anymore. Everyone misses him. They think it’s especially sad for the Queen and Prince Philip.”
