In Good Morning Britain, Meghan’s father Thomas Marke defended the royal family two days after the Sussex interview. The man took the opportunity to violently tackle his son-in-law, Prince Harry.
The revelations of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry during the great interview given to Oprah Winfrey are constantly provoking reactions. The couple has thrown around the behavior of members of the Firm, evoked racism towards little Archie, hurtful words from Kate Middleton and even the black thoughts of the Duchess of Sussex. While Queen Elizabeth II refused to watch the interview, Thomas Markle, Meghan’s father, didn’t miss a beat.
When questioned by Good Morning Britain, Thomas Markle admitted that he had made a mistake in coining interviews or photos with paparazzi and said he had apologized “a hundred times”. And to tackle Prince Harry: “We all make mistakes, but I’ve never played pool naked and I’ve never dressed like Hitler.” Not a very classy reference to the photos of the Duke of Sussex published in January 2005. Indeed, Harry had gone to a party dressed in Nazi insignia. A polemic had exploded. Not enough to fix the relationship between Meghan Markle and her father.
Thomas Markle defends the royal family
Thomas Markle reversed accusations of racism against the royal family. Meghan and Harry said that the royal family had been concerned about Archie’s skin color before he was born. For the actress’s father, this remark could have been a simple “stupid question”. “I have great respect for the royal family and I don’t think it is racist at all. And I don’t think the British are racist,” he added. A support that the crown could do without.
