A symbolic detail… This Monday 15 May, a few days after the coronation of Charles III, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle met teenagers in Santa Barbara (United States) to discuss the impact of social networks on their mental health. For the occasion, the Duchess of Sussex played the sober card with a black outfit. As usual, she wore a lot of jewellery, including a diamond tennis bracelet, given to her by Charles III, and a Lorraine Schwartz diamond ring.
The Express UK also noted that Archie and Lilibet’s mother wore a highly symbolic necklace that she had worn the day after Charles III’s coronation on 7 May. According to the tabloid, the crystal piece was made by Meghan Markle’s friend and former Suits costume designer Abigail Spencer. The brand claims that the necklace helps to “overcome difficulties”, “get rid of anything that doesn’t work” and “protect [her] peace”. So this piece of jewellery could prove to be a lifesaver in these stormy times.
A priceless Cartier watch
Another symbol: Prince Harry’s wife wore her gold Tank de Cartier watch, a legacy of Lady Diana’s that she wears almost daily. While this piece is priceless, Meghan Markle owns another watch from the French jeweller. In 2015, she told Hello! magazine that she had bought a two-tone Tank model worth $6,050 (€5,558) in gold and steel. She said she wanted to pass it on to her daughter one day.
