Meghan Markle urged to ‘think carefully’ about using her title as Duchess of Sussex…

A royal expert has called on Meghan Markle to be careful about how she uses her royal title, especially in the wake of lobbying in the United States.

Jonathan Sacerdoti, an expert on the British royal family, gave an interview to the Mirror Online. He alerted Meghan Markle to the use of her royal title. “I think there is a sense that Meghan has growing ambitions,” he confided. For him, Prince Harry’s wife is heading more towards a life of activism than a politician. A choice that would be more strategic, “especially if she constantly reminds everyone that she is the Duchess of Sussex”. At the beginning of November, she had used her royal title to encourage female senators to vote in favor of extending paternity leave in the United States.

“She has every right to use her title, but I think that as she gets more involved in politics, especially in America, she should think carefully about the use of her title and any association between the royal family and a political cause like this,” explained Jonathan Sacerdoti. Still, he assured that paternity leave is “a political cause that many of us could support.” He also reminded that if Meghan Markle wants to “connect with the royal family”, she must be all the more careful not to involve the British royal family in her political actions in the United States.

U.S. senators unhappy with Meghan Markle’s behavior

Some U.S. senators had not taken well the initiative of the Duchess of Sussex. This is the case of those of West Virginia and Maine. The first had not understood how Meghan Markle had obtained her number, which had been given by Senator Kirsten Gillibrand. The senator from Maine had not appreciated the pressure exerted by Meghan Markle with her royal title.
