Meghan Markle is said to have indirectly influenced the content of a biography written by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, by communicating certain information to her friends approached by the two authors to testify.
Meghan Markle is closely controlling her image. So when the Duchess of Sussex learns that a biography is being prepared, co-written by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, she decides to subtly influence the content of the book.
Indeed, according to information from The Mirror, Meghan Markle has admitted to the court that she gave personal information to a friend who had been approached to pass it on to the authors. The reason? That the content of the book, entitled Finding Freedom, comes as close as possible to the truth about the Duchess of Sussex, and more particularly about her father.
Indeed, Meghan Markle wanted to influence the passage about Thomas Markle in order to avoid “misinformation”. “She does not know to what extent or in what way elements about her relationship with her father have been shared with the authors,” the document states.
A fractured family?
Meghan Markle assured that she had never spoken with the authors. In particular, the authors discussed the relationship between Meghan Markle and her brother-in-law Prince William. Prince William too would not have liked the way his brother and sister-in-law announced the news at all.
For two months, Lady Diana’s children would not have spoken to each other. The brothers would still barely speak and their break-up would “take time to heal”, in the words of the biographer.
