CONSTRAINED TO CONTAINMENT SINCE THE EXPANSION OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, THE BRITISH ROYAL FAMILY HAS NOT FORGOTTEN THE CURRENT SITUATION. IT IS IN THIS CONTEXT THAT KATE MIDDLETON AND PRINCE WILLIAM TODAY RELEASED A VIDEO IN SUPPORT OF ALL MEDICAL STAFF.
The British royal family is having a complicated start to the year, to say the least. The year 2020 has already been marked by the Megxit, which will have seen the departure of Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle.
Although the couple set foot in the United Kingdom again at the beginning of March, this has not helped the situation at all. They even saw a mosaic of them removed from Windsor… And the global health crisis has not spared the most emblematic of the royal families.
While Queen Elizabeth II went into seclusion as a precautionary measure, her son, Prince Charles, was hit hard by the spread of the Covid-19 virus. It is in this unique context that the Windsor family, via Instagram, decided to send a strong message.
APPLAUSE THAT IS ANYTHING BUT TRIVIAL.
On Thursday, March 26, Internet users were able to discover a video published on Instagram and Twitter. It shows George, Charlotte and Louis, Kate and William’s children, applauding in front of the camera.
This mark of respect is not intended for just anyone. The caption reads: “To all the doctors, nurses, orderlies, and other health care personnel who work tirelessly to help the victims of Covid-19: thank you. This publication is no mean feat on the part of the British Royal Family.
In spite of the confinement, the entire Windsor line shows its support for the British hospital staff in the face of this crisis of unprecedented proportions. The United Kingdom currently has 432 deaths caused by the pandemic. In this context, royal applause is more than welcome to give hope to an already wounded people.
