In legal documents, we learn that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are well accommodated for free in their Beverly Hills villa, owned by director Tyler Perry.

It’s official, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are staying at director Tyler Perry’s villa for free. The information was confirmed in legal documents released on July 24th.

Newsweek ran excerpts from the documents on Tuesday, August 3. In them, the lawyers for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex state that they are living in the sumptuous Beverly Hills house for free: they moved in thanks to “the generosity of a friend”.

If their home is mentioned in the papers, it is because the couple filed a complaint against paparazzi who flew over it with drones to take pictures of little Archie.

“This action was prompted by the relentless and frankly shocking efforts of the tabloids to take advantage of the serial intrusions into the privacy of a 14-month-old child in his home, and by the desire and responsibility of any parent to do what is necessary to protect their children from this media frenzy,” the lawyers said.

No mention of their royal work

While they are still part of the royal family in view of their ancestry – the birthday messages for Meghan Markle proved it – they make no mention of their work for the Firm in their lawsuit. Meghan Markle is described as “an accomplished actress, entrepreneur and women’s rights activist” who “dedicated herself to her philanthrop

Her title of Duchess of Sussex is mentioned, however, as is her husband’s princely status. Concerning the latter, it is written that he served in the British Army, and that he is now involved in her philanthropic work, including the Invictus Games. A work they do from home, coronavirus obliges, away from prying eyes.
